Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy

By accessing or using ReaDelete (https://readelete.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Nature of the Service

ReaDelete provides a free, zero-knowledge cryptographic utility that enables users to encrypt text and watermarked images client-side in their browser and transmit them via single-use, ephemeral links held in volatile RAM.

2. Irreversibility of Destruction (No Backup Warranty)

You expressly acknowledge and agree that ReaDelete is designed to permanently destroy data. Once a note is opened by anyone possessing the link, revoked via the Kill Switch, expires past its Time-To-Live (TTL), or is cleared during a server restart, the data is irretrievably gone. Never use ReaDelete as your sole backup for critical data.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (Prohibited Conduct)

You may use ReaDelete only for lawful purposes—such as sharing passwords, API keys, confidential business notes, and identity verification documents. You agree not to use ReaDelete to transmit:

  • Malware, ransomware, exploit payloads, or phishing credential harvesters.
  • Unlawful, defamatory, or abusive material, or any content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Automated spam floods or denial-of-service (DoS) payloads designed to exhaust volatile server memory (payloads are strictly capped at 4.5 MB per note).

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

ReaDelete is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReaDelete and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the service.
